Soccer sucks! pt.2 (Soccer is evil)

Let me add an addendum, or something. One could say, "Oh, soccer is so popular! Look at all the kids playing soccer!" Let's look at this for a second. Here's Little Joey, 8 yrs. old, and he has the choice of learning the difficult art of hitting a round ball with a round bat thrown threw the air, learning the difficult art of catching a ball in a glove, both of which have a very low success rate but teach a child patience and a sense of accomplishment when these things are mastered. Or, he can play soccer, which provides instant success with very little work, as every kid can kick a ball into a goal the first time he tries. To me, it's the equivalent of having the choice of cooking a good nutritious meal for your child, or bringing him to McDonald's every night. The first is harder, but is well worth the effort.
